Investment Philosophy

  1. Simple, Yet Strategic. We don’t believe in making things more sophisticated, or complicated than necessary.

  2. Minimize Costs. We seek to keep your costs as low as possible, including management fees, internal portfolio expenses, and taxes.

  3. Goal Based. We assign investments to your financial goals and timeframe.

  4. Wealth Building Behaviors and Habits. We help you stick to your savings plan, feel confident in your investing strategy, and be patient and calm along the way.

Our approach with investment management is to adopt and implement key financial technology and services that enhance our efficiency and align with our investment philosophy.

This strategy enables us to place the most focus on our clients and their best interests.

For example, we may outsource some parts of the investment management process to the most suited Sub-Advisor or Model Portfolios. We keep the parts of the process that are the most personal and valuable to our clients.

FAQs

Do I need to have a minimum amount to invest with BeingFIT Financial?

No. We love to work with people who are just starting out in their careers, or have most of their current wealth in their house or their employer sponsored retirement plan.

How does BeingFIT Financial differ from brokerage firms, banks, and asset management firms?

BeingFIT Financial is independently owned and operated. We are not influenced by financial product manufacturers or investment companies. We do not have sales quotas to meet and we do not benefit financially from recommending certain products or investments.

Does BeingFIT Financial receive commissions or any other revenue for the investments that you recommend?

No. We are only paid directly from our clients for the financial services that we provide.

Where will my assets be held?

Depending on the investment strategy chosen, assets managed by BeingFIT Financial are custodied at TD Ameritrade or Altruist.

What are the investment management fees paid to BFF?

Subscription-based financial planning clients receive investment management advice included with their fixed monthly (or quarterly) fee.

Project-based financial planning or Investment Only clients have the option to invest according to our tiered fee schedule which starts out at .75% and decreases for account balances over $1,000,000.

What other investment fees will I incur?

Management fees for the Sub-Advisor or Marketplace Model (if applicable), internal portfolio expenses, and charges incurred at the custodian are additional and debited directly from accounts. Total anticipated fees are reviewed in detail prior to client engagement, and are reported and evaluated for clients on an annual basis.

Can I invest with BeingFIT Financial without engaging for a quick financial plan, or ongoing planning?

Not usually. Real financial advice - which we think of as the intersection of your life and your money — is at the center of everything we do. We don’t feel we can do our best work for people without first going through our financial planning process.
